Securely Storing Your $ACYC
Keeping your crypto secure, including $ACYC, is paramount in this space.
ACYC highly recommends purchasing and storing your $ACYC tokens with a hardware wallet, as they provide significantly more security than storing your tokens on either an exchange or a “hot wallet”. There are a number of excellent hardware wallets on the market, including Trezor and Ledger. $ACYC is an ERC-20 token, so here is a link which explains how to setup Trezor wallets to store ERC-20 tokens, and here is a link which explains how to setup Ledger wallets to store ERC-20 tokens. You can also integrate your Ledger wallet with MetaMask to store ERC-20 tokens. If you have already purchased $ACYC on a "hot wallet", it is important to note that there is a 10% transfer tax to send that to a hardware wallet. Below are instructions that circumvent this.
Transferring $ACYC to a Hardware Wallet
It is best to purchase your $ACYC initially using a hardware wallet, rather than transferring it to one later, so that you do not incur the 10% transfer tax present on all $ACYC transfers. If you currently have $ACYC in a "hot wallet" and would like to transfer to a hardware wallet without incurring the transfer tax, the following is a guide on how to do so.
First, go to https://revoke.cash/ from your computer with the wallet, and revoke permissions for anything that isn't a site 100% trusted by you. Then get yourself a blank hardware wallet, Trezor or Ledger work great. Set up that wallet by restoring to the seed phrase of the wallet currently containing ACYC. This will essentially clone the hot wallet to the hardware wallet. Once you have confirmed the restoration is successful and the wallet is cloned, erase the MetaMask/hot wallet it originated from on your computer. You could go so far as to fully delete MetaMask and reinstall it. When you are done there is nothing left to do! Your wallet containing $ACYC is now only living on that hardware wallet. While this isn't as safe as a transfer to a totally new wallet, it is certainly better than having your assets on a computer that someone could easily hack or access. Small price to pay for security!
